Hey all,

It's been a while since I've last visited this site! Lots of things have taken my attention in the past couple years - schoolwork, internships, gaming, etc. - so I haven't been around at all for quite some time. For anyone checking out my page here, I've started up my own website to display my work. Deviantart has been very good to me in my time here and I'll leave everything that is here as it is, but I won't be coming around here much if at all anymore. I've set up an email form on my site, so if you want to contact me for comments, questions, prints, or just to say hey, please use that. I've had a great time with everyone on this site, and I hope you all keep up with all your amazing hobbies.

My new site: [link]

Sincerely,
~Dan Flisek

Hey, some of your "The Awakening" photos aren't loading.

I'm interested in a view of the arms and head only.

Hopefully larger than 1680x1050 so I can make a background out of it.

The boredom centred at the time, on the role of time, the fear of time, the revelation of time, the consciousness of time. Those who are not conscious of time do not miss. It is not of the time which passes, it is of the time which does not pass.

Bite my lip and close my eyes
Take me away to paradise
I'm so damn bored I'm going blind
And loneliness has to suffice
Bit my lip and close my eyes
Slipping away to paradise

Let's talk about Dan Flesik's insinuations. Let's talk about them in a very specific and personal way. One of the first facts we should face is that I shall not argue that Dan's newsgroup postings are an authentic map of his plan to tear down everything that can possibly be regarded as a support of cultural elevation. Read them and see for yourself. If we're to effectively carry out our responsibilities and make a future for ourselves, we will first have to combat the incomprehensible ideology of classism that has infected the minds of so many brazen peddlers of snake-oil remedies. If, today, the urge of Dan's war-soul can prompt him to convert lush forests into arid deserts, then imagine, if you can, how that same soul will express itself through the thousandfold-more-gutless Dan of tomorrow. He doesn't use words for communication or for exchanging information. He uses them to disarm, to hypnotize, to mislead, and to deceive. I am aware that many people may object to the severity of my language. But is there no cause for severity? Naturally, I claim that there is, because the problem with him is not that he's anti-democratic. It's that he wants to pervert human instincts by suppressing natural, feral constraints and encouraging abnormal patterns of behavior. Let me end by citing my standard hate-mail response form letter:

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. One question, though: Do you actually want Dan Flesik to break down the industrial-technological system? Because that's what'll happen if we don't make efforts directed towards broad, long-term social change.
